suicide brake (coaster on the front hub)

he was looking for a particular thread, not his bike. :D long before i did my bike or double nickle did his, somebody else did something very similar. i ran with it, changed things up and tha the design we have on our bikes. i'm looking for the original idea guy, that gave e the idea in the...

    Skill level

yeah, i never really considered changing paint and parts a "build", theres gotta be some custom fab in there somewhere. don't ever stop building those wonderful creations, or challanging yourself, cause this place just wouldn't be the same. its all about the challange. myself, the...

    Skill level

sure we could all build fully custom frames from scratch, but then again we could call this place hot rod bikes .com  skill has nothing to do with my love of giving old used up items a new lease on life (and not just bikes) its what keeps me coming back to this place. i'm not looking...

suicide brake (coaster on the front hub)

not sure it that is the one or not? thx bud, that would be great. here's what i have in mind. i'm going to attempt to add a free wheel to a coaster brake so the arm itself will have to move. i'll run a push rod along the bottom of the frame to active it (return spring to return it to...

suicide brake (coaster on the front hub)

hey guys, was hoping you could help me find the original post with the coaster front brake. it's probably a 2-3 year old post and i dont believe he refered to it as a suicide brake. worked a little different than the one i designed a couple years back with the bicycle chain and return spring...

    shooting star

they do however break/burn up. it's quite possible you saw the meteor break up. as it fractures the paths of the larger pieces could have very well made it look like it was zig zagging.

Pics of rats with downhill mtb forks/triple clamp mtb forks?

i used an old set of mountain bike triple tree's to fashion a new set of forks. (stainless tube and drop outs.) http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewto ... 21&t=28257

    mirrors on handlebars question

i drilled holes through a set of apes to mount some old yamaha mirrors. most of the larger apes are a little heavier guage steel. never had a problem with those bars, and i rode that bike pretty hard for a couple summers. welding in a pipe is a great idea though.

    "Most over done trend?"

ain't that the truth! its has a lot to do with why i love flat black paint.

curious, what your hunting down to trade for your dream bike? :)

    ebay bicycle engine dimensions

i'd do away with the stock tensioner also and fashion your own. the pictured on my bike was actually taken from an old junked moped and welded inplace. the ones that come with the kit are big, ugly, prone to slipping and damaging frames if cranked too tightly. as for the cable, i used a standard...

    "Most over done trend?"

"trend", oh thats a scary word that seems to be rearing its ugly side. i love flat black, always have, always will. henry ford was on the money. any color you want, as long as its black.lol and as far as color combo's go red and white seem perfectly suited for such a color. after reading this...
