Twin flex Frames!!!!

I am looking for a twin flex frame, rear springer, and front springer. If you know anyone who has one, if you know someone that knows someone that has one, or if you know someone, that knows someone, that knows someone that has one please let me know. I am on the hunt for trading a few things to get one.

40's Monark frame, guard, fenders, and tanks.
47 Dayton frame, guard and fenders.

I've considered making a twin flex rip-off but never got that far.

With the right tools, a few springers, some tubing, and a prewar frame to build around (perhaps a looptail Colson?), I think you could copy the design pretty well. I feel re-inspired...

Definitely one of my favorites as well, second only to the Super Streamliner :mrgreen: Good luck with the chase! It's half the fun.

In a search for the top bikes that were made , you will find that everybody that is out there is wanting the same thing. If one pops up , there are collectors with serious money ready to grab them . If you look for a Unicorn , you will probably find one quicker. Building a copy shouldn't be that hard. There are lots of pictures around , and a cheap overhead projector will get you a full size picture of one to copy. Your not building a rocket ship. They are fairly simple to build ,but I don't think they worked that good to begin with :wink: Just my two cents though.

there was one on ebay a few weeks ago with a buy it now price of $475. it was missing the wheels. I think someone on the cabe bought it. It was listed for a couple days too.

One of the Coaster BC guys has built a couple of front and rear springer bikes using Monark springers and they are beautiful.

his is far too incorrect to get the price he's asking. anyone who gets that one is either going to have to leave it the way it is and live with the fact that it's a mixed bag of parts, or correct it which will require a total repaint which makes the restoration it has been through a bit of a waste. mine was much more correct and It recently sold for $1500.00

Mixed bag of parts or not... that is one nice bike...

It's nice but I see what he means. It's not worth $4500 for what he has put together. I've been reading up on twin- flexes alittle bit myself and even I saw a few flaws. I can't imagine how much an expert could find. But overall It is a nice bike.
