26" rims all round i had nothing to heat the rear stays so i cut a little wedge out of each of the rear stays, being real careful so i didnt cut all the way through i then filled the holes up with weld, like built up the edges its got a euro bb, so its a small one, but i kinda like the long...

well i got her welded and this is it almost rideable i say almost rideable, gotta watch the pedals on the turns heres a close'ish up of the rear triangle you can see a bit of the special chain as well all it needs now is a rear brake and a bit o paint suggestions on the colour are welcome

going to weld it up in bout 1/2 hour, lets see what a mess i can make. fingers crossed, not to good with a mig yet i trust my welds with my ass... i think :?

i got this horrible mtb frame for free the other day tried to make a rear wheel steer, this angered me so i got the saw out and decided to "lower" it it went from this: yuk ugly mass produced poop to this, with about 10 mins thought and an hour with the hacksaw, the same with the file and...

if i have guessed what sensor was thinkin, which i think i did, i was thinkin the same whole lotta thunkin goin on there nice bike, i really like that style of bars, they look kinda like the old rod brake ones

i have been riding this one the most over the last month or so it been out in mud, snow and rain, yet to encounter the dust in the summer it in bits though atm. she runs a 3 speed SA dynohub in a 26"mtb wheel, just enough gears to keep a singlespeed from feeling too guilty

youd get extra ratio's like with derallier gears and have higher but to me the appeal of three speed is having gears without the disadvantage of a messy derallier system cos' i really hate the noise of deralliers it will work i think they used to make twin rear cogs for the sturmey archer hubs...

it does work IMHO it kinda makes the three speed a bit pointless though

check the size of your tube, if, for instance, you have a 26X1 3/8 wheel and tire and put a normal MTB 26" tube in it the tire gets pushed off.

im sure you can do it, put your mind to it, you should try and convince the welder to let you have a go as well, we humans can do everything if we think like a kid and just try it hey you'll only do it wrong and know not what do next time and whatever mess you get in you can get out of it...

ive been giving the motorized idea some thought for aages and i was thinking that you could mount the engine above the wheel on a luggage rack kind of thing and run the chain off the crank via a sprocket straight to the wheel, you would have to have a driven wheel in the front i.e a back one...

one question how fast, i wanna build a moterised thing and i have a small two stroke moter i just dont want to waste my time building a useless heap
