I think it was the same one I saw at the last Centralia Wa. swapmeet in back of a pickup? it was priced at $700. .. but couldn't find the seller ..left message but....
Heres a couple items i just found up in Burien Wa. this a.m. for $30. and $10... I had to drive a few hours for em! Had a Radio Flyer wagon just like this back in the 50s! Guess i'll use it to move firewood in.
Sometimes if you have a stubborn pedal on a beater bike (not your dads aerocycle)..you can take a brass hammer and hit the crank arm directly on end and it will free the threads some. Learned that when i worked at an old bike shop 30 years ago :)
GTV i would say your bike is a 1950 with G serial number under crank. Schwinns came either way with 1/2 inch chain setup or 1 inch pitch. Chrome Knurled S2 wheels would look pretty good on that puppy! :)
I dont know the i.d. but its probably around 1947-8 Also some early post war had a tapered end kick stand..cranks dont always have the date. Looks pretty stock to me. Great find!
