    Great Allegheny Passage

I read up on the Wisconsin trail. Looks cool. I guess I'll get dropped off and picked up. It's about a 90 minute drive from here. Well worth the piece of mind. I know my car would get hassled esp. with the out of state plates.

Is there a basket on each side?

    Indoor riding facilities.

I never knew there was anything like this in Cleveland. I'm about 30 minutes away. I wonder if I'd have fun if I go solo. This place sounds like a blast.

    Great Allegheny Passage

Interesting links above. I am ready to do this and if this is the only "vacation" I have all year that will be ok with me. The only thing I am unsure of is longt erm (4 day) parking. I don't want to leave my car unattended for that long. I wanted to park up near the Pittsburgh side, but with my...

Lets see your panniers/ touring bags

No pics yet, but I finished my Army tool bags for this bike I had a little bit of help from my dad & wife. They came out really nice. The handles were removed, as they were no longer needed. The rack is a Wal Mart Schwinn one that mounts to the seat post (I'm going to repaint it in the...

    Brooks Saddles

It looks like the B17 would be my choice. I wish I could find one in decent shape for a decent price. I'd settle for any colour. I don't ride much on streets at all. It's all dirt or rail trails. Not too sure if I'll miss the comfort of foam. I know a seat's comfort is about as subjective as...

    Brooks Saddles

I want a Brooks B17 green apple, but I can't see spending that much ($89) for a bike that could be stolen. Are these saddles comfortable for long distances? I think I might break down and buy one. Maybe a used one for some savings... Any good places to look that don't require PayPal?

    Thinking of building a Pashley-alike

Looks like a cool frame to use. I bet it would turn out nice.

    Great Allegheny Passage

Not sure if any of you are into the rail trails like I am. This summer I plan on taking about 4 days to ride from Pittsburgh to Cumberland. I know I could probably ride the 130 something miles in one day, but that would make it into a job and really defeat the purpose. I want to make many stops...

    SHOW US YOUR WORKSMAN BICYCLE

    OLD AD...Bike Gunrack?

Wow, to think nowadays you could be shot dead for riding around with one of these.

Lets see your panniers/ touring bags

I have two bikes I want to put bags on here. The first is a bit tough, since it has dual suspension. I picked up a seat post rack at Wal Mart. It's the best thing I found besides an Old Man Mountain rack. I plan on getting to the Army Navy Store to pick up a few bags. I will have to use support...

sister topic for 'Most overdone trend?'

I'm guilty of using them (BMX pedals) on my normal rider, a Gary Fisher Joshua X, but only because I accidentally bought them for my BMX which has a 1 pc. crank (I forgot). Overdone, but I kind of like the 29er phase. It gives me more of a chance at some second hand 24s.
