    Brand new Higgins color flow

    OK, so I get into a Delorean, and the next thing I know, I'm back in 1950's looking at a bike showroom floor and see this.....the heck with the hover board.....I love this....it is almost scarey it is so perfect. Great find. Would you like to donate it to my....er....I mean a museum?? :mrgreen:

    1951 Columbia Serial # R219741

    According to the serial number list here, this is a 1951 Columbia. Past that....I have no idea...well, it is blue and it is a 26" Girls bike. Any input would be appreciated. Some day I'm gonna get a bike that's not blue!

    Welding At Home...

    One of the biggest regrets of my school days, was not being offered welding as a class option. If I could give any younger folks some advice....learn to weld, braze, and solder, it is worth the time spent.

    Under pricing on flips

    A few weeks back, I drove 300 RT to pick up a bike. Paid about what it was worth, factoring in the gas....spent some cash, but hey, I got out of town and had a great trip.

    Truss Rod brackets

    Has anyone every thought to put together a thread, or data base on truss rod brackets? Let me explain. Many truss rods have brackets which will fit on a few different types of head sets. Some are pretty exclusive to a particular bike. I've seen a couple of drawings of truss rod brackets...

    12 volt headlight...35 watts???

    Follow up to above post: It looks like the 2 LEDs, a couple of resisters, and a 9 volt battery are the ticket. Thanks for all the help. I'll post pics when I get it together.

    Cut out the element and went to Radio Shack to get some LEDs. Not sure if the big one would fit (had to hot glue it to the back, but it is mega times brighter than the little one that fit into the vacant hole in the back of the light. I've got to look up what resistor I would need if I went...

    Thanks for all the great ideas and information. I'll be taking a look at converting it..I saw somebody drilled out the connectors and put in a couple of ultra bright LEDs. As for the lack of availability of old tractor parts in the UK.......thanks for the sacrifice....God knows what it might be...
