King San build (my first build)

I got there just after 12 and there were no lines. I parked in the field and walked in. I had originally went to look for a classic Cadillac but this bike called out to me. I felt it deserved one last shot at being road worthy again. Plus it was only $6.00. There were tons of bikes for...

King San build (my first build)

Yes, I picked it up on the Thursday when PIR opened up for the swap meet. The guy had it priced for $6.00. He said the person he got it from was getting ready to take it to the scrap yard. He figured it was worth trying to save.

King San build (my first build)

Today I purchased a Mongoose BMX bike for $5.00 to use for parts and mock up parts. I plan on swapping out the crank housing with a standard sized one, so I can use a common crank. If I can't use the fork with that frame, than I will need to cut and weld on a standard neck as well. The frame was...

King San build (my first build)

After soaking it in PB rust buster for a week It started to come apart but not like I wanted it to. The handle bar neck was badly rusted and snapped at the first attempt at separating the stem from the forks. This will take some extra time to get the broken part out of the fork but it is worth a...

King San build (my first build)

After doing some research and coming up with next to nothing on this bike I am going to use it as a custom builder. I purchased this at a swap meet in Portland, Oregon a week ago and liked the style of it. It is pretty rough but I think I can do something with it. The Frame says it's a King San...

Any Info would be greatly appreciated

Thank you. I have been looking, but I've come to the conclusion that this is very, and I hate to use this word without further knowledge on it, "rare". I have contacted a few people on this bike and they are stumped as well. One person that I contacted lives in Japan, but he could not find any...

Any Info would be greatly appreciated

I picked this up at a swap meet and can't find much on it other than what is on this website I found, http://derbyking.com/Detail/?n=190 . The head plate says King San A AAA Co. Japan. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Auto swap meet finds

The brake levers are originally what caught my eye. That head badge is the best part on the bike. I'm just trying to figure out if it is worth building. I'm sure it's not one to restore but maybe to build as a rat rod bike.

    Auto swap meet finds

I really like the fender ornament and hope I can save the fender. I've never seen another one like it.

    Auto swap meet finds

I picked up two bikes at the Portland Auto Swap Meet. Between the two I only spent $36.00. The first one I have never heard of. The head plate is stamped- King San A AAA Co. Japan. I tried to search this but only found one site that had one but nothing overly informative about it. If anyone...
