I know you Americans have a hard time believing this but Schwinn's are pretty rare on this side of the border. So when I got mine I wanted it to be different and came up with this.

The latest and final version of my clunker build which started about 2 years ago. I finally got a set of wheels with a nexus hub in the rear and switched out the large maxxis tires with a set of Kenda small block 8's that still have some grip but roll much nicer. I also put the tank back on...

This is the bike that saw me to the end of my BMX racing years. It is either an 86 or 87 Elf pro XL with matching forks, bars, and seat post, DK stem, A'me grips, dia-compe brake, kashimax seat, Haro 3 piece chromo crank, araya rims with hollow axle gt hubs, tioga comp 3's and the last number...

I found this one on CL and HAD to have it. It's a 1997 Kona a'ha cruiser/ mountain bike. It weighs 25.5 pounds and just flies on the trails...had it out in the bush already, sorry Brent but I had to. The guy I bought it off of rode it for a few minutes then stored it for 10 years!

I'm probably too late but this my Brodie. :mrgreen: I don't have before I started pictures but it did have all the normal mountain bike stuff on it...knobby tires, padded seat, flat bars, lots of gears, dirt, grease, etc. So these are kind of after and after after pics.

I made some more changes to the black top bomber and have never heard "cool bike" so many times. :D My son came for a visit and we took him for a ride around Stanley Park and other paths and had a blast.

mock up pics of my 50's columbia "mountain bike" aka clunker. I'll probably take the tank off before any off roading so it doesn't get damaged. I'm also looking for a nexus 3 or 7 for the rear and smaller width tires, it has 2.6 inch tires on it in the pictures believe it or not...
