    Hubless rear wheel

Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler. Albert Einstein I think it is just too simple. It looks too simple because of the lack of hub and spokes which makes it just look weird. But building it became way more complicated and in the end doesn't really contribute to the good...

Can a Springer Fork Handle MOderate MTB Terrain?

Whoa I think that gold bike is my favorite bike I have ever seen. It reminds me of a 60's Kustom car.

    that thing is sweet!

    The Danger of SOS Pads...

I heard aluminum foil works too. I was told to rub a ball of foil on my chrome and it would shine it up. It kinda worked. Maybe you might have better results.

    Stingray Tanks

well since no one has posted some pics I may just have to build one and post some.

    disc brakes

hydraulic would rule. I think there would be a eye pleasing solution might require a custom rotor. Or do a classy cover to make it look old school. I would rock em on my stingray if I wasn't so lazy and poor.

    Stingray Tanks

Any of you guys ever build a tank for your stingray? I have been thinking about building a custom one for one of my Black Friday stingrays like those that came on the vintage full size schwinns.

    Bed Liner Paint...

The POR-15 will fade unless it is top coated. Same with the bedliner just check out a truck with and old spray in bedliner. I guess it could allways be resprayed.

    A question of ethics...

I would be pissed if I went to visit a friend and left my bike there and went on vacation or something and came back and my bike was gone! There was a similar situation here in Utah. A girl rode her bike to a hiking trail head. She was missing and on the news there was descriptions of the bike...

    Go Moto

those things were that expensive! back then you could buy a niced used dirt bike for that! my dad payed 150 for a GTO with a blown headgasket about the same time!

    Vintage/Modern mix...and 7 speeds, too!

Anyone know who makes a frame like that? I would love a vintage stylish frame with the modern lightweight aluminum!

    LBS

i hate to sound like a ..... but in my experience most bike shop owners are total jerks. especially fancy trek shops. If you aren't buying some carbon this kevlar titanium that yuppie bike that costs more than any car i have owned, they treat you like something that stuck to their shoe.

    frame material?? german frame

I think that means it's steel. I think they determine unknown metals by grinding on it and using a reference to the color of the sparks. if you want to get all technical. but it is most likely steel unless they were experimenting with some exotic metal like beryllium

    Black Friday Special

    thats good right?

    Black Friday Special

hey thanks! I think it makes it look much better more balanced or something...Not sure I should paint the rear wheel although symmetry is nice but I don't know. maybe just paint the spokes and the hub? I may have to photochop before I commit!

    Black Friday Special

What do you guys think I should do next?

    pipe bender's??????????

check this out. this guy modded his and says it works great. I did some research on this bender and lots of guys were concerned they suck and would crimp the tubing http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=266004

    Black Friday Special

Got some crap done on the bike. Painted front rim and hub painted the crank sprocket to look like a Torq-Thrust including giving the chrome a brushed look. I think this is almost complete. ok maybe not but I think it does look a lot more Hot Rod.

    Full sheetmetal fabricated frame

cheapness is not the point guys. a brake may be cheaper or more expensive or even the same cost as a tube bender. the point it i think it looks cool and would be a different approach to building a bike. it could even be done with hammer forms if tool cost is an issue.
