    Wanderer German Bicycle

Well, the wheels are color coded to the frame, so yeah, I think they are original. The German fellow said "The wheels looks to "litte", but sometimes in this time, wanderer sells Ballonbikes, with bigger "Reifen" (pneu)." I think it is likely just a matter of tires.

    Wanderer German Bicycle

The owner of the hub website has confirmed that the date is 1938. Cool. Any guesses as to value on this? Worth sending to e-Bay or is it just another $150 CL bike?

    Wanderer German Bicycle

Thank you for the link. I read that page a little differently though. I think the letter codes began in '58. It states, "On hubs made from 1920 to 1957, you will find a number for the year on the hub-shell." There is also a link, which shows hubs similar to mine from the 1940s. This leads...

    Wanderer German Bicycle

Here's an old Wanderer. Not sure what model (if there is one). I have read a bit about the company, but wondering about date (pre-war? post-war?) and value on this one. I am going to guess slightly postwar. What do you guys think? Oh, yes I am well aware that the pedals & grips are mismatched...

Help me price these rat rods.....

Here are some more better photos of the Schwinn imposter.

    Schwinn New World

I read through the really nice write-up at The Bike Shed blog, and as best I can tell most everything on the bike is original (not pedals). These bikes had quite a bit of variety over the course of production, which ran (interrupted) from 1938 to around 1950. Again, according to the Bike Shed...

Help me price these rat rods.....

I didn't build these guys; they came in the collection I bought. I am getting ready to re-home them to the neighbors, Craigslist or similar. They are all work pretty well and should be good functional bikes. I know they are worth whatever someone will pay, but where do you guys think I should...

    Schwinn New World

Found this in the back of my garage. I kind of like it; it has nice patina. I might keep it. Needs some work on the hub. What do you guys think? What can you tell me about it? Age? Any value?

What do you make of this "Columbia"?

There are no holes in the headtube.

What do you make of this "Columbia"?

Looks like F062839....? According to the link, "F" was in 1941. That can't be right, can it? I wonder why there is no F listed from '59-'60....? That seems a more plausible vintage.

Post Your Monark & Firestone Super Deluxe/Cruisers

I think I have one of these.

What do you make of this "Columbia"?

Ha, a little bit of adhesive apparently. I pulled it right off. So the "Columbia" might not be even partially Columbia after all.

What do you make of this "Columbia"?

I had this in a different post but got no response, so trying again. What do you think of this? Is it some sort of reproduction, or a custom bike? What do you suppose would be a fair price for it?

Totally new guy with lots of old bikes

I am happy to provide photos, but I would kind of like to give some of these odd bikes each their own thread/topic. Any suggestions on the most appropriate forum? For the Cheetos and the Sherrill.

Totally new guy with lots of old bikes

No, not a radio bike. I think it is a Columbia. You could own the Cheetah bike. :)

Totally new guy with lots of old bikes

New guy here, first post obviously. I actually signed up over at The Cabe recently, and the guys there suggested I might find some good help here. My personal interests are mostly (more modern) steel bikes. I tinker on older bikes but ride newer ones, and I ride quite a bit- road, mountain...
