    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

Here it is, in its as good as it’s going to get glory. Grips showed up today, it was raining, so the wrapped bars will have to do. https://ratrodbikes.com/threads/yard-art-revival.120004/ My wife says it is strange not seeing a bare frame sitting in the basement. It’s been a staple in our...

    TRADITIONAL Stir crazy

This looks great! I love the brass nuts on the fork supports, and the pocket watch. So much class.

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

I’m 40, Fantasyland was a little before my time, I think they closed early 80’s. Williams Grove amusement park is closed too, late 90’s, and the speedway before that. All that cool nostalgia is gone. Knoebels about an hour north is still open, some of the oldest wooden coasters in the country.

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

That’s a nice area of town. I grew up on a farm outside of town. That’s why I love bikes, they were my way into town, where all the action was.

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

Thanks for all the love! I just have to get real grips, and I’m sticking a fork in it and calling it done. OddJob, I am located in central Pennsylvania. Those pics were taken in a high dollar neighborhood near me. No expense spared, I’m sure they are some fancy stone imported from Italy or...

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

I have some springs that would probably work, but first ride wasn’t too bad. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

Right on the money Wildcat, Western Flyer. Just installed the chain guard. Shockmaster is an understatement, that fork has some bounce to it!

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

Installed the rear rack, with upgraded rear light. Upgraded in that there is one now. Not original obviously, but the curve fits the opening well.

Fitting up some fenders. Having trouble getting the front centered. A crooked fender builds character.

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

Thank you for the help with the images, it has been awhile since I’ve posted anything. Started work on wheels. The original stuff rotted away in the garden, so I had to find donors. The axle was too thick to fit into the dropouts, and width too wide as well. I removed both outer locknuts, and...

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

I have been trying to organize my basement (aka bike explosion), which includes selling things that have been collecting dust for too long. One of those items is a Western Flyer that was rescued from someone’s garden. It was straight, fairly complete, and the patina was so nice. I bought it...
