    THE RICKPAULOS COLLECTION

When I was a kid riding my bike I bent a crank like that. One of my rides to a friend's house took me through a parking lot. There were cement car stops with metal pipes to keep them in place. Plenty of room to ride between them, but you needed to keep the crank level as you go through. I didn't...

    Brake cable through the frame

I started this post to help you with running a cable through the frame. On some bikes they make a larger oblong hole for the cable. Then a molded plastic guide fills the gap. In these spoiler photos you can see the angled plastic inserts. To fish the cable through use a snake. At work I...

    STBO BBC

Back on post #35 I talked about adding an "L" bracket to the leading rear brake caliper pair. This will keep the assembly from rotating. This poor old bike hanging in the shed some 30 years. I used the original front brake as the lead, you can see the bracket, one each side.

West of Philadelphia, 30 miles. Tape the spokes near the rim. Cover the rest with cardboard and paint the wheel together. Or as you said, take it apart.

Pink seat, chain and grips, the front wheel is calling for pink.

    Grease

This is the type grease I use at work. Very good for all applications. Does not dry out or get runny. White lithium grease is usually for sliding parts. As stated it dries out, which is okay for sliding parts, it stays put. Not the best for ball or roller bearings.

    STBO Little lady

I spotted this and I thought about the Tiny Human's bike. These badges are still made by the the same company that made them for Schwinn so many years ago. Made in USA, not cheap though.

    Bike Memes

Grandfather to grandson, "I had a bike that would be just your size now. I parked in the woods behind the house, then I could not find it....."

I'm not a brake expert, but yes you can. Works best if you use the front fork brake (longer bolt) on top. Remove the bolt from the other brake, slide it on the lower empty mounting bolt side. This mounting will want to rotate with the wheel. To fix that issue, mount two small "L" brackets, one...

The like is for the Trailmate, not the 20" e-bike. Kids should learn to pedal. Maybe someone my age needs an e-bike.

    STBO Good & Plenty

Depending on the model, the Sturmey Archer TCW is dangerous as TwoJs stated. If you are using it I would highly recommend an additional braking system. The later SA S3C is much better, but braking ability is diminished in high gear. The current SA AWC 3 speed coaster brake hubs work well.

Bike looks good! All 3 requirements. Are you going to keep it a Strider? What about that Yukon, 5.7L? 2 or 4 wheel drive?

my next waist of money a crusty old Schwinn DX klunker build

First thing you need to know what size head badge. Many older Schwinns had a larger head badge. Check the screw mounting holes. Large badge has 3 3/16" center to center holes. (92mm for the metric challenged folks) Smaller badge has 2 5/8" (64mm)
