    Rugged Hub Suggestion?

I'm trying to build a wheel for this fork that will support the weight and action of big heavy bikes like this Fat-tire bike's front wheels all come with 5.5" hubs while my fork is 101mm. I wanted to use a 100mm disc hub I pulled off of a Phat Cycle but I was told that using the hub body in...

Can I replace spacers for bushings?

I got a pipe to use under the neck. My game plan was is to put washers and bearings atop the sleeve / under the neck but I'm not familiar with the head gear. The steerer should be the same size but the neck looks much thicker. Prior to disassembling could anyone tell me if I can simply transfer...

What size tire tube for a 26”80mm rim?

Nice! Do your rims get chewed up and is that a gash in the front tire? Do you put Flat-Out in them or are they just that thick @kingfish254?

What size tire tube for a 26”80mm rim?

I had trouble finding a fat tire wide enough to fit my 82mm rim yet thin enough for the 3G springer I bought with 3-9/16" between stanchions. I found one, Kenda Kraze 26x3.0, that was listed as 82mm wide inflated on an 80mm rim. But now I'm having trouble finding tubes in 26x3. My only option...

    Offroad Balloon Tire Reviews?

I'm hoping to find some 26x4++ tires in gum-wall for both off-road and city. I know you've touched on puncture resistant options for thinner tires. I was wondering if anyone has experience with these newer brands, something comparable or better than the Kenda my bike was shipped with. For...

    Will a 20x4 Tire fit a 3G springer?

Very helpful. I was considering 24x3-4 so it's nice to see what it'd look like. Customcruisers.nl is the only place I've found measurements of fat tires and I'm noting there is rarely a true 4", most are off by more than a little in either direction. How did your's feel over bumps? Saving my...

    Will a 20x4 Tire fit a 3G springer?

Yes, 3.5s will probably be the outcome but I'm hopeful.

    Whatever it needs. Suggestion?

    Will a 20x4 Tire fit a 3G springer?

I want to put a fatter tire on this 3G springer. If the fork spacing is equal to the tire size (4") will it fit with a little air pressure adjustment? Has anyone successfully fitted equally spaced parts like this?

Will a motorcycle fender fit over 26x4 fat bike tires?

Thanks! I appreciate having a new set of options to consider. I could see those hatched ones cut to width.

Will a motorcycle fender fit over 26x4 fat bike tires?

have you tried these shorter and wider fenders @Wildcat ? I know the arc is still incorrect but figured I could cut some space out under the hinge-point.

Will a motorcycle fender fit over 26x4 fat bike tires?

Thank you. I guess I'm not using those measurements correctly? Super helpful knowing you haven't found one either. Have you considered or tried losing some length or would the arc just look too incongruent floating above the wheel?

Will a motorcycle fender fit over 26x4 fat bike tires?

    26+(4.0 x 2) wheel/tire = 34OD/106.8cir/17rad

Will a motorcycle fender fit over 26x4 fat bike tires?

Width is fine. It's the arc I'm concerned with. At worst I figure I would cut a few inches off one end and/or lift it higher?

Will a motorcycle fender fit over 26x4 fat bike tires?

I want to put a nice fenders on a fat tire bike. I'm looking at some Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet Classic rear fenders because they appear to have a lot of clearance over the 120/80-18 tire and look slim enough to work into the fat tire bike frame. Does anyone know if 26x4.0 tires would fit or...

Can I replace spacers for bushings?

I'd read the same, (possibly here on rrb), but the steerer is 25.4 while the stanchions are one and an eighth.

Can I replace spacers for bushings?

Thanks. The 3G linkage website states that spacers will be required on top and bottom which I found odd. But my worries are more around the 1 to 1 fit. I'd hate to have to hollow the bushing out since it's nice and smooth inside. Would 1 and a quarter I.D. be as loose as commercial spacers?

Can I replace spacers for bushings?

Anyone know if I can cut 1" I.D. bushings and slide them over a 1" steerer or will it be too tight? I'm trying to place it under the frame.

Will this springer girder fit a modern bike frame?

generally I'd assume the steerer could be cut and adjusted but since everything hinges on both plates cutting the steerer column feels wrong. Maybe it would change the rake? Thanks in advance
