I am building as a coaster and gonna paint it a heavy metalic blue base coat clear coat , its a 5 speed 1968 long frame , I only got the frame and fork when I found it so I am gonna build it back as a coaster they made 2 frames in 1968 for the stingray , the short frame with lucky 7 sprocket...

ive searched parts for this bike and here is what I have , S2 rear rim with red band coaster hub , S7 front rim schwinn script one piece fr hub , solo polo seat , custom cut wingtip chain guard , new bits and pieces , new tires , getting ready for paint and new decals

This is a 1968 Schwinn Stingray 5 speed I found at a flea market as a frame and fork , the bike was a 5 speed the 5spd parts were all gone when I got it so I am building it back as a coaster , I want a custom stingray I can ride at car shows and swap meets the 5spd frame is longer and no wingtip...

it is blue I have been searching parts for it for months its now a complete bike time to tear it apart for paint and new decals ,

thats a Nice bike !!! I am building a 68 right now all I got with it was the frame and fork , the coppertone 67 is almost totally original all I do to it is clean and polish on it ,,,

this bike is in pretty good shape like I say I just clean on it nothing more ,,,

I found this coppertone 67 stingray a few years ago and was able to get it , I have only cleaned on it as everyone says to leave it alone and not paint on it so thats what ive done , lots of cleaning ,, its got scuffs and scratches on it but looks good in person , looks great out in the sun ...

This bike turned out great I think , it has 2K urethane paint on it , all new factory style decals a springer solo polo , tall sissy , pretty cool little bike , hope you guy's enjoy the pics 😃

I do bodywork on cars so I cleaned the frame fork and chainguard primed it with 2K urethane

I then sat and cleaned and polished every part that could be saved , I was not able to save the original sprocket so I found a nice original , new high chrome handlebars , all new decals it came together great I think ,,,

I then took the bike apart I sourced new decals had paint mixed to make the cool green color these came with I found a picture of an original bike and matched the color , I rebuilt both wheels was able to save the original hubs spokes and rims , I got brand new tires and tubes for it ,,

I took it all apart , it had its original wheels and hubs they cleaned up great ! I found a NOS wald 24" bike which makes a 20" bike much easier to pedal , I first did a mock up on it ,, I had a springer solo polo for it and I had a taller axle mount sissy bar made ,,, it was missing a k9ckstand...

Found this 1968 Huffy it was actually a Kmart rebadged bike but I built it as a Cheater Slick same bike here is some pics , it was either for someone like me to get it or it would of been thrown in a dumpster ,,, this is how I found it ,,,
