    1964 SCHWINN STING-RAY

NIce bike, love them early 'rays... you don't see many of the real early bikes. I have a few of the early bikes: a '64 lime deluxe, a '65 lime delux in orig paint, but neither are this nice. I also have a '65 super delux that's been restored, but I prefer orig paint bikes. I have a blue '66 3...

    krate is looking better

is that a disc brake rear, or is it just missing the caliper? I found a '73 sunset Orange Krage on craigs a few years back, stole it for just $200. It looked beat, but i tore it down to a bare frame, used rubbing compound then waxed the frame, cleaned all the chrome then reassembled and wow, a...

    62 Straight Bar

Skippers, Typhoons, Tornado's -all are middle weights. General wisdom is that this type double bar is a Typhoon, but i have seen a beautiful orig paint Skipper with this frame.

    62 Straight Bar

Thats a '62 Typhoon frame (one year only), not to be confused with the Tornado which was the 'other' double straight bar from that era. The 'straight bars' on the Typhoon extend all the way to the rear dropouts (like this one) as opposed to the Tornado which had seperate 'straight bars' from...

    1966 fastback stingray 5 speed

Nice 1st year fast back. The seat is cool, but is not correct, the early Fastbacks used a deep tufted silverglow, but the one you have looks cool but is from a mid 70's Schwinn. Love them early style handle bars. Cool ride, nice score!

    KLUNKER BUILD-OFF

The true 'Klunkers' are a pretty specific breed of bikes, and the guys into these rides hold that definition pretty tightly. You want an old DX, or panther style straight bar frame, preferrably pre-war ie very late 30's to early 40's. Most guys want that old well worn stock paint on them...
