    new stretch build

OK, made some changes since the last post, she's basically done. New wheels, went with a Nexus 3 speed hub over the Sturmey Archer Duomatic only missing the shifter, working out the mounting on that right now....running the Nexus 3 speed as a single speed just so I can get her on the road. Also...

    New toy for the wife

lol, apparently I'm the real problem here....I loved how they looked too much, can't imagine going to any other fork now, just talked to my builder, we'll be adding those forks to the order as well now ;-)

    New toy for the wife

Been working on this one for a bit, wanted to build something cool in a ladies style, not seeing a lot out there. Design took a bit of work, changed up a lot from where I started, but I'm quite happy with the results. As with my last build, I had goCruisergo do the work, Todd and Stacy are...

Custom Made Parts, Gear stick, Lights, Sprocket

Re: Custom made gear shift that is gorgeous; you should be marketing those....

    new stretch build

Well, she's almost finished. The forks are a temp set, my proper forks are a custom set being built right now, but I couldn't wait any longer to get riding....then again, this quick solution turned out to be it's own project as well. Apparently these forks do not fit over the 3" wide wheels I'm...

    new stretch build

still waiting for the forks to get sorted out, have a temp pair on the way, ordered in a set of the classic springers in black just to get me rolling until the forks are finally ready....but in the mean time, I started putting things together, starting to get a good feel for how it's going to...

    repainting?

Def going automotive paint, have a buddy who works at a paint shop, I get a good rate. I do love the look of the bike now, but it's 3 years old, need to freshen it up; and since I'm going to have to spray my new girder forks anyway, wont be much more to do the entire bike.....

here's another angle on my bike picture sharing

    repainting?

funny; my new build is a metallic orange, and one of the bikes I keep being inspired by is the yellow Ruff that keeps popping up in the adverts on this page....see below. What do you think about these color ideas? Not going for the rust look in the rusty, but I do like the powder blue with red...

    repainting?

I'm thinking about maybe updating my current cruiser, try something new. See image below of the current color scheme, traditional rat rod look. I don't want to paint the wheels, have any good ideas for something cool with the frame color, ties in with the red? I love my bike, but I'm painting...

    Custom frame makers list?

l can personally vouch for goCruisergo, they did an amazing job on my custom design, great people to work with. you did forget fire bikes however, another creative builder, though much more expensive than gCg, and not as easy to work with....he built my current ride.

    new stretch build

fresh from the paint shop; just waiting on a bit of prep work on the forks, then they get sprayed, and we put this badbot together :-) photo sharing websites just stuck a wheel in there to show the contrast with the white wheels; bars, frame, and forks are all going the burnt orange. print...

    Dub's industrial build - Reborn

I'm jealous of your access to the workshop, and talent with the tools. I'd love to explore some more frame concepts, but I'm somewhat restricted by having to farm out the actual work to someone else.....how cool is it that you have the option to keep reworking that build, changing it up till it...

    new stretch build

Here's the frame complete, ready for shipping......can't wait to get this bad boy into the paint shop :D :-) Take a look at those welds, Todd from goCruisergo is a fricking artist. https://www.facebook.com/goCRUISERgo screenshot software for windows screen grab programs to take...

    new stretch build

Spokes and hubs are black; as is the crank, headset and bottom bracket. Pedals and chain are white. I'm loving the orange to, and as I was coloring the drawing, I just kept adding color.....kind of leaning towards more than less..... Thanks for the positive feedback, I'm excited to see the...

    Dub's industrial build - Reborn

I love your eye for detail as well, that little cutout for a chain guide is a great touch, subtle, but just adds to the finesse of that build. pS....I vote for keeping it au natural, the bare steel seems to suit the look perfectly.

    Dub's industrial build - Reborn

THat bike is so sick, I love it. The original build was very cool, but the rebuild is awesome, I'd love to have that in my garage. It's a great build as well, since there's no bending involved, makes it a lot more approachable, one less piece of equipment to invest in to get setup :D Where...

    new stretch build

pretty sure this belongs here....... Here's my new stretch cruiser build. Frame designed by me, being built by goCruisergo, from Detroit. Midrise apes also by goCruisergo. 26x3" wheels with Sturney Duomatic 2 speed hub and white wall tires from classic cycles in Germany, Brooks B-33 saddle...

    Fun with curves

tell me what you are using for a tube bender?? I have a project on the go, have a guy who'll do the bending for me, but I'd much rather do it myself, like the hands on approach rather than trusting someone else to interpret my designs. appreciate your help :-)
