So a little over a year ago I picked up this ‘37 BF Goodrich badged Schwinn straight bar frame.

Since then I’ve been gathering parts for it when I crossed them. After buying 4 forks, I found ‘the one’. The aim since the beginning was to do a stripped down ride. No fenders or chain guard. I tried to keep it mostly prewar.
The grips, tires, seat, and seatpost are later.
Stoked on how it came out and how it rides. Would like to swap the 10 tooth rear cog to an 11 at some point, but today was it’s day to be built.

Exactly. At 6’1”, I get the saddle where I want it, then sit on the bike with the bars a lil loose. Get em to where they’ll be comfy riding and there they stay. Also why I run solid aluminum seatposts.
I usually leave vintage cruiser saddles slammed, as to not bend a seatpost. The 1940 Schwinn I BMX converted has the original seatpost and it's super beefy. I trust it, but that's the only Schwinn seatpost I've ever seen that is stout enough to trust.

Edit: I leave the seatpost up a bit on my 1976 Schwinn Twinn, but it gets babied all of the time anyway.
