So a little over a year ago I picked up this ‘37 BF Goodrich badged Schwinn straight bar frame.
Since then I’ve been gathering parts for it when I crossed them. After buying 4 forks, I found ‘the one’. The aim since the beginning was to do a stripped down ride. No fenders or chain guard. I tried to keep it mostly prewar.
The grips, tires, seat, and seatpost are later.
Stoked on how it came out and how it rides. Would like to swap the 10 tooth rear cog to an 11 at some point, but today was it’s day to be built.
Frame: BF Goodrich badged Schwinn
Fork: Schwinn truss locking, Ranger
Headset: Schwinn
Bars: Wald
Stem: Wald
Grips: Schwinn
Bottom bracket: Schwinn
Crank/sprocket: Schwinn
Pedals: Torrington
Hubs: Morrow coaster, New Departure
Rims: Drop Center, unsure of brand
Tires: Schwinn typhoon cord
Saddle: Superior hairpin
Seatpost: Stites Bike Works solid aluminum
