So, not exactly bmx, but I figure this the best section to post this bike.

1981 Schwinn Cruiser 5 in one year only Chestnut original paint. Built with ‘81 era correct parts-

I built this for my wife. Thus hand brakes and gears were a must!

Nah, I just finished building it. Got the frame set & extras from my buddy @Danny the schwinn freak, and I added all the gold and yellow, tires, seat, etc.

But I take that comment as a complement!!

Looks good. However, you may want to double check the info...I too have an original cruiser 5, in roasted chestnut, and it is a 1980. At least that is what my serial number comes back as...

Nice. Random guess, but does the serial start with MR? For December of ‘80?
