Mocked up a simple move of the mounting of the back end of the beehive brace to be above the lower pivot arm. The final placement would probably be about 1/2" lower. The torqueing of the spring is less than I thought it would be.
What do y'all think?

I also tested the small light again. If I use this it will be rusted up. Also looking for opinions on the light.

Thanks for all of the feedback guys, I definitely like it better horizontal that tilted.
Cut the nanner brace to fit around the pivot arm and mocked it in its final position.

I also tested out the headlight again. There is room under the nanner brace for me to hide a battery pack if I go with the light.

While you are at it, you may be able to bend the mount at the top of the spring so it sits completely vertical if it is bugging you, looking good to me though!

Re: The light, I actually think it needs a bigger one?

Luke.

I actually like the way the slightly torqued spring opens up in the front, so I'll let it.
I'm testing a different light and location in the next mockups.
Thanks for the feedback!

Looking great so far. Could the light be mounted below the bars or will the springer hit it. Just wondered what it would look like upside down.

Thanks, Glad you like it!
I tried flipping it but it would get hit by the springer forks. Not sure if I like it so high up though. I may look into a way to make a new bracket to have the middle of the light in front of the bars.

I actually like the tank and the color combination is about as good as you could possibly expect it to be. It also compliments the BOAs and gives a nice contrast and use of space in between the bars. I say keep it :D.

I'd keep the tank and chainguard, not sure about the grips. Looks good.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I don't think I am feeling the tank after looking at it awhile. It fits and matches and looks good on the frame, but I don't really think it adds anything much to the overall build.
Chainguard is still a keeper. I still need to build up the brackets for it.
I love the grips without the tank, but I don't like them with the tank. Grips trump tank in this instance.

The tank is definitely a keeper in my opinion!:113: I think it totally adds to the bike! I'd even go one step further and paint the chain ring to match the tank.
Opinions are cheap though, build what you like and have fun.

Chainring or chainguard?
Three people giving the tank the thumbs up now. Guess I should step back and look at it more.

Maybe I was too distracted by my Elgin Twinbar purchase today from @prewarguy (the same RRBer that sold me my current frame).
