At one point I was thinking about a chocolate brown bike with tan claws and a set of brown Quick Bricks.

The raw finish would be cool though....hmmmm.

How about some burgandy claws over the bare metal? The BMX fork and stem make it different from the other bikes.

Where can I find truss rods for cheap? anyone know? ebay was returning results for $45 and up and I think thats steep for two metal bars...

Some people have made their own out of brake line tubing. :wink:

Or you can use solid steel rod and just thread the ends? You can slice a slot in the ends and weld some flat plate on and drill your axle holes. I've made a few sets like that for a couple projects. Stronger than factory too.

If you take the time to really polish that frame and clear coat it you will be surprised how much of a shine you can get out of it. It will be darker than chrome but would look really cool.

2. 1 "chrome-in-a-can"
3. 1 non-pigmented (clear :roll: ) flake base
4. 1 clear gloss
5. 1 clear flake
6. 2 clear gloss or one translucent and one clear gloss
