Well it's tomorrow and I didn't see any demons in the night, so I'll say it was a success. Finishing up my brekky before I head into the shop. As Samwise Gamgee once said: eggs, sausage, nice crispy bacon.

I'm at a standstill until I get a few more parts, so I'm trying to figure out what leather to use on the seat. I'm thinking of using this color combo. The textured piece would wrap the outside, with the chestnut colored one being the main piece. The grey would be a tiny border piece of piping, and I'd use a grey thread

This is one of the most complicated and incredibly tedious sewing patterns I've ever attempted.

It would be so much easier if I had a sewing machine, but they're way out of my price range. I'm trying to create a quilted leather seat top, but I'm doing it entirely by hand sewing. Which means I have to sit here with a needle and thread and put each stitch in one by one. Below is what I'm attempting to create

I've been doing my own leather work for close to 6 years now. Everything has been done the hard way because leather sewing machines go for $1500+. I've gotten pretty decent at being patient
