This bike is a beast to lift up this high. :D

This pic is for @Jake Sensi . I decided to wear the shirt he sent me last year. Some tourists saw me taking my bike pics on the fountain and we started talking about the bike. So I got them to take a pic of me. (About 50 pounds lighter than this time last year).

Finished up my 3 hour bike ride with a pic at the Savannah Theater and some NO CYCLING pics.
The fins did great!!!! No sounds. No rubs.

That "visual gap"underneath the fin desperately needs something to fill eat!
But you probably have something in mind (I smell a "Comeback of the Exhaust Pipes" coming)

Haven't even thought about the pipes. I'm sure that I will mock them up again now that the fins are on, but I kinda doubt that I will use them.

In regards to the open space. I see what you mean. I'll have to study it more. Part of why I have the ride pics too.

You can see that it is traditionally open on the old bikes with these skirts. (But that doesn't mean it has to or should be open space on my build).

More than like what I will do is fill in the space with some flashing. At least as far forward as the front lip of the skirt an probably also back to the dropout.
I have contemplated a bridge or fender section between the two fins, but I don't think that I am going to go that route for this build.

Man,

Man, your garden courtyard looks beautiful right now! Sun coming through just right.

I like your 'bracket-ology'. Seems like the fins are solid.

Queenfish really stepped up her plantings this year and she works hard at not letting them get beat down by the heat .
The fins really did perform great on my 3 hour ride today.

I really like the bike man! I would've liked to come up with some fender skirts for my bike but 20" ones are hard to find and I am out of time to build a set from scratch.
I also like the springer front leg. The dual springs and third section make it look much more like a real motorcycle springer.
This makes me wish I would've followed the build closer. Best of luck in September man!

Glad you like the bike so far. I don't know if I have ever seen any 20 skirts. You might be able to make some from a shop fan grill.
The FlyingMachine springer fork is very cool because it is so overbuilt and well done. I love the way it looks with this build too.
It's tough to find time to follow all of the builds AND build your own bike. I always try to keep up as best I can because it keeps my creative gears turning with inspiration and knowledge.
See ya at the finish line.

Had some fun at the carnival mirror that @Dr. Tankenstein and I discovered at the gelato joint on the river.

It shows promise. The hardest part is trying to roll it out flat with the paint can roller. This can is pretty springy. The reason this came to mind is I was thinking what would compliment the speed darts.

After breaking out the Campbell's , I just had to pull out the pipes and consult with da fisheees.

As over the top as these are, I actually like them.
It's perfect for the space below the fin speed darts.
I just like how the scale of them fit the build well. They mimic the fat springer tubes too.

The front curve of the pipes is like it was meant for this section of the frame.

I also like how the curved sweep and long drawback of the chopshop bars is complimented with the same in the pipes too.
