Congratulations on your successful efforts Kingfish.

It takes some real lifestyle changes to lose that kind of weight. I went from 240 down to 165 in 2016. I don’t exercise quite as much now, and I don’t diet religiously, but I am holding at 170.

So have you weighed the Uncle Stretch bike? I am really curious to know what that thing scales at.

I think I am getting close to being able to start breaking this bike down this weekend. I spent this afternoon kinda doing a mental list of what is left to do. I didn't feel like working on the little roof flashing panel to go between the front of the tank and the headtube, so I tinkered with the headlight instead. I removed all of the previous LED electrics out and then drilled out the spotlight handle rivets and removed that.

Still need to work on the mounting bolt so that it will work at an angle. I don't want to bend the billet bracket.

I haven't weighed it yet. I will have to come up with some rope rigging and hang it from a courtyard tree with a big game fish scale I bought at a yard sale for a buck years ago.

I did also test out my coontail from Tallin Estonia. We'll see how it looks once the bike is painted.

I ran this on Firewing back in BO8.

And also tested it on Speed Demon (but had to take it off because it kept riding the tire and getting dirty.

Great use of this material. Now I’ll be on the look out for holey things at thrift stores. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Ever since my first build off, everytime I see stuff at thrift shops and yard sales, my head always asks "Can that be used on a bike?". Not just directly, but could it be raw material to make something else someday.

What if you take a nut, large enough to slide (not screw) on the thread and file it down to a fitting wedge...?!

That is part of my plan. I also massaged the inside area where the carriage bolt goes so that it angles more. About to head out and work on that now.

ditto

Got the headlight mounted. Used a scrap threaded pipe union as my spacer base.

That mounting did the trick. Took a short ride on my long bike and grabbed a couple of tacos. That is a 26 bike behind my bike.
The light is rock sold and didn't rattle or loosen at all.
Enough play. Gotta get back to working on it now.

I had these to leftover holey napkin holder pieces and decided to try them out as filler in front of the tank.

Finished the napkim holder filler panels.
I also included a photo of how cool the tank bell looks and works on these Columbia tanks.

That headlight is a smooth installation. Very nice. I like the large size too.

Thanks, I like the look and scale of it too. That has been part of the fun that I have had with this build. Because of the scale of the frame, larger stuff just fits well together. It's once you get on the bike or see it next to a normal scale bike that you realize that......
