In regards to how the B&M handle feels and works, I now like it just as much as the 8 ball. By design these grip handles are very ergonomic. At this angle it feels super natural for my right hand, and I just grab it a slightly different way with my left.

Took these shots against one of my go to aged home walls to get a feel for how it looks and photographs from different angles and gear positions.

Man, this bike is just cool. Even if you don’t change the finishes at all it’s really good. Due to the wheel discs I’ve started thinking of this as the world’s fastest rat bike, kind of a spinoff of the Munro Special. I’ve also taken a liking to that splash of red on the tank and don’t know if I would change it now. Very cool.

Thanks brother! I'm really enjoying the vibe from this build too. It's so fun to ride. So many people (locals and tourists) have stopped me to talk about it. I hope to finally get the guard on soon. My vision changes somewhat as each piece is added and I get the bike out in the open spaces.

...And how is that different from one old man playing with a bike? :21::p

Not much at all :D Except I wasn't playing around inside the water (at least not this time :D :D )
Honestly, it has to look pretty funny seeing an old man posing and staging his bike. Taking photos at different angles. Getting on his hands and knees for some photos. I'm glad to provide entertainment for them. :D

You can get a good feel of how much farther the downtube stretches out down low on the Oriole from a regular frame by looking at where the guard bracket is.

I think I can twist this bracket to make it go straight down and then be able to fabricate connecting it to the low horizontal portion of the downtube.

Starting the layout and placement of the Evans chainguard. I just how well this flows with downtube and chainstays. This configuration would give me clearance of 1/2" above the chainline.

Yep, just the right length for the downtube bend. It looks like it came with it.

Once, a lady watched me go through this routine with Duck Norris down by the river. After a few minutes she approached me and asked if I'd like her to take a picture of me with my bike.
"No thanks, ma'am. Only the bike is famous, not me."

I tell them the Smithsonian asked for a pic.

One spot away from disappearing to page 2. Been landlording, but decided to try to at least get mockups of the chainguard brackets done.

I am going to first use some of my trusty roof flashing to do the test brackets. Once I have them dialed in, then I will make the permanent ones from my trusty portable bed spring steel.
