12g Spokes

Ok, last topic for today, promise!! I am looking to replace the spokes on my bike with 12g 268mm SS w/ brass nipples) in the rear and 14g 268mm in the front. The 14g I can find no problem. Its the 12g I am having a problem finding. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yep, I've purchased from Husky Bicycles before, good pricing on their spokes, just limited lengths.

Yeah, I saw that site. The ones on there are not stainless and I live near the beach so kinda wanted stainless to avoid the corrosion issues. Also as mentioned limited lenghts. If the original were 268 can I use 10 5/8" or 267 or 269?? Thanks for everyones help.

When using a spoke calculator and the spoke size I need isn't available I will usually go down a mm, if its too long you will need to file the tips down that stick out so you don't puncture a tube. Too long and you will never get the tension you need.

Try Holmes Hobbies - They will custom cut and thread 12g spokes to the length you want. They are SS, I think.
