I wanted to post a picture of an Elgin tank that I have made out of paper. Well, Illustration board actually. It's a very strong design, water resistant,(although not waterproof)and as you can see, a convincing copy. I've glued in some wooden blocks as mounting points, and used 1" copper pipe hangers to secure it.

I'll post a photo essay of the tank build as soon as I figure out how, and update the Elgin's progress.

Thanks for taking a look, Randy

Hey now that's pretty cool. I'd certainly be curious to see how you put it together, is it just one piece folded? Exactly what kind/brand of paper is that? If it could be painted and hold a finish well (without getting 'nappy' like some paper/cardboard does when painted) I think you'd probably see a lot of us low budget guys following your lead.

Nice job, and welcome :D

Hello and welcome Randy,

Nice bike, that seat looks well comfy. And great idea for a tank, I'd also like to see a how to.
