1938 CWC Pilot

Just picked this up last weekend. Going to be the base for my spring RatRod project.

I thought the spraybomb would come off and reveal decent original paint but after a bit of stripping, I found that whoever painted it sanded through to the primer.

Oh well, this way I won't feel bad about creating my own look...

Very nice! Out curiousity, how can you ID the year of a CWC built Pilot? I have one that looks very similior to your's except mine has a horn tank and curved fender braces, and I'd love to know the year of it.

Member RMS37(Phil?) dated it by the SN that starts with a 'C'
