1939 Colson Snap tank

Picked this up yesterday, did a little bit of cleaning on it, but no tear down yet. All there except the correct bars and horn button. Updated pictures!

literally has brackets that snap into the frame bars. No screws, really it's kinda weird how no other manufactures caught onto this. Makes life easy.

...and scratches the paint.

Yeah... it's taken its toll on the paint for sure. I thought it was pretty ingenious too but I prefer screws now

Nice complete bike....my opinion....a piece of art! Leave as is ! Valuable this way! Restoration or new paint would do it absolutely no justice! very very kool old rider!

Definitely no repainting! I fall under the believers of "it's only original once". Plus I don't have the skill or money to do it correctly, lol.

SWEET! All the hard stuff/expensive stuff is already on it. Very nice! I have a 39 also. I looked forever for a tank but could never find one I could afford. Great find, I agree, leave it as is!
