Yep the serial is D24743If ya look on the underside of the BB there will be a serial #. Post it up here and I am sure we can narrow it down. Thats a great bike I have a couple similar and all ride well. I am guessing the serial starts with C or a D.
Oh I didnt know that. CoolI've heard if the rear fender bridge is curved, it's Snyder, but a straight bridge is CWC, like yours.
I have 53 CWC with that chainwheel. So maybe it was changed out at some point with later model set up.The cranks are a lot shinier than the chain wheel too. I wonder if they had a cog that fit the original rear hub.
Wouldn't a Hawthorne have had this chain wheel?

I really appreciate all the info. ThanksWith that serial I would say it is late 38 or 39. I think the seat,fork, bars and stem are from a later bike.
