New picture added as how it strands right now. rims are cleaner but to finish and make em shiney i'd have to rechrome and get all new spokes, I like the as is look of them anyway, however I really hate their weird size!

For you Raleigh fans I am starting my restoration/cleaning on my 1939 Raleigh sports. As much as I love riding this bike as is. I want it to last very long so I decided to make it look great!. here it is as it stands, well one of these pics lol.

Said new picture right here!

Looks nice how it is but shes a dirty bike lol

I love it. Kinda suprised it didn't have rod brakes though. Guess if it didn't have the drum front maybe .

The bike has a drum brake rear 3 speed hub and front is a big arse dyno generator. lighting dooes work still. wingbuts still movr freely. sadly the rims has pitting but for it's age theres not a hge ammount. tires are even good still, no cracks. just needs a good clean and the rear tail light cover, wich I have no clue what it looks lol. whats the best way to polish the frame? black shoe polish?

I like having the bars face up because it looks neat lol

Heres my weapons of choice for the war against oxidization :D Meguires #2 is great for cutting years of crud off but be carefull around the fine pinstriping, it will take it off if you rub too hard. I follow up with a couple coats of Mequires Tech Wax 2.

And a lttle teaser of what it has done for the Superbe

I've got a super weapon against cleaning the crud off, jiggaloo lol I get that stuff free so I use it for everything, i'll try that wax though, looks like it has great results, well the superbe is a "shiney" bike lol mines a all dull black one but who knows! can't wait to see that superbe cleaned up. I even got a nice chain guard I think will suit my bike well. it's blue but I gotta repaint it.

Hey Hsean, you wouldn't happen to have a spare pump layin around that you wouldn't mind lettin go do ya? :D It doesn't look like my Superbe came with one, no clamps or scratches from one even being there.

Your also need the frame mount parts, if I knew people where interested I wouln't of kept throwing them out lol that white pump is also garbage, it looks nice in the pic but it's pretty bad, i'ce got nothing right now anyway. I should have a picture of what I got done so far on the bike tonight.

Meh heres a picture now. the chain guard is just sitting ontop, it's got dents in it and has rust but after a good sanding and dents removed and brimed then painted it will be great!. think it would look better white? it would match the fenders.

If I come by one i'll let you know, i'd give you mine but it's ugly and dosn't work lol

New picture added, also hotrod theres a bike thats local here that has a frame pump on it, the whole bike is 20$

Hey HotRodRob,I have a nice pump that will fit your Superbe, beautiful condition and works like brand new, looks like the one on my Superbe but instead of made in England this is a vintage Tornade pump made in france, drive over to my place and get it,your only half an hour away by car.$20. you won't be disapointed with this pump and it fits perfect in the Superbe pump pegs and will complete your ride!

Heres some pictures, The chain guard is just sitting on it, I have to make a mount for it because for some reason a 70's chain guard like this wont reach the downtube on a bike this old, once I get it mounted I decided a white chaingoard with the white fenders would look nice, the fram has been polished and looks nice now, not sure if i'll keep these handle grips on it yet. also I put an old cuff lock on it, I have a speedo for it also.
