Was lucky enough to grab this one. The price was right and it now completes a two year search.

Here's a similar Schwinn version I saw at the Barber Motorsports Museum back in May.

Yeah that's a Marman motor kit. They eventually sold out to Jack and heintz. Neither are directly related to the Monark super twin. Both just have similar opposed twin cylinders.

In 1949 The Monark super twin was claimed to be the first motor bike factory installed and tested.

That's simi-true. The Marman, Whizzer motor kits, ect were installed by the dealer and often done incorrectly.

In the 30's there were other factory motor bikes. But I guess post WW2 the claim was true.
