1951 Schwinn Panther frame on the way. What fork?

I recently purchased a 1951 Schwinn Panther frame (26”), and will be doing a BMX style klunker build. I’m trying to determine if a Schwinn Sidewinder fork will work? I’m not sure what length steerer I tube will work with this frame. Any help is appreciated.

My guess is that it will work if the steer tube isn’t too short.
