Got this beauty as part of my Whizzer trade.

1951 Shelby Flyer with mostly original paint.

Yeah, hard to believe that beautiful paint was under this spray bomb a few years ago.
The red on the tank is newer paint and decal.

I just got the bike yesterday, no way is that enough time to perform the tedious work of removing a layer of unwanted paint. The owner I traded with got the spray bombed Shelby a few years ago. I believe he patiently used a flannel rag and lacquer thinner to remove the spray paint inch by inch. He did a great job. Most of the original striping and decal work is still there.

Put some air in the tires and took the Shelby out for a ride. Great bike and wow what a looker!! I love this paint combo!

Stopped off in the Colonial Cemetery and the little guy was checking the bike out

Me too. I really like the overall lines of the Shelbys , their tanks are sexy too.
