1961 JC Higgins Middleweight

Wanted to post my recently purchased 1961 JC Higgins Middleweight for $135...before & after pics...tried to keep the fenders, but there

were some slight rubbing issues on rear with the new Duro 2.125" vs. the original Gillette 1.75", so now it's kinda a rat, I guess, right?

I think the "after" version looks good now, but I wasn't real sure of the outcome when I began to remove the fenders to eliminate the rear

tire rub...what do you all think?

I love the “no fenders” look myself, gives you that racing stripe up your back when the road is wet !!
