I am thinking it is a 67 or 68 based on the sproket which was in a different box along with a brake and the front and rear tires. The tires have two thin white stripes so I think they are original. The green paint underneath is really nice so I am trying to carefully bring it back. Any thoughts?

Cool find! The frame will have a serial number on the rear dropout. the first number is the year. The frame paint looks awesome, it will be fun for you bringing that one back!

Also, I bet the tires are original, and they had red lines on them, that are now white because of age and weather.

Ya I am pretty excited!!!

Does anyone have any good pics of a green one. I don’t find a lot of good ones online.

Lucky also they didn't sand it down just sprayed paint on it. You should be able to get it back to green that looks good.

So do you think it came with the flaming stack? Any idea what bikes will have the same fenders? Was that a lark derailer? I don’t know a lot about rail bikes. At least I am no longer a rail virgin!!!

I don't know a whole lot about them. Here's another version. You can check your serial number for the exact year and narrow it down from there.

Ya I hear you but there is a bunch of crap on it. It look like welding slag but there isn’t any breaks or welds anywhere

The first 2 digits are all you need. Huffy numbers have the last digit of the year and an H, 7H would be a 67 or 77 depending on the style of bike.

Wildcat,
I just picked up what looks like a 26" Coastal Cruiser frame. The number on the dropout is 4H468011. Would that make it a '64?

The 4 is the last digit of the year, 1964, 1974, etc. A pic will nail down which decade.
