What type of headbadge did a 1967 girls Breeze have? It's missing on a bike I was given.

And by the way, I'm seeing for the first time what everyone is always saying about Schwinn quality. The bike I was given was spray painted all over (wheels, spokes, handlebars, everywhere) and used for a yard ornament for 10+ years. I pumped up the tires, and kicked one pedal as hard as I could, freeing up the rusted chain and hub, and rode it to my car. Amazing.

Re: 1953 Schwinn Breeze - headbage type?

oh ok (about the dating)... I ran the stamping numbers on the left dropout, JC13907, and came up with a date of March 1953. It has a chainguard on it that reads "Breeze". Something must be up.

The bike is black with black script grips (silver metal flake in them). Does that shed any more light on the date?

EDIT: ran the numbers on another website and got Sept. 1967.

Thanks for the heads up. That makes more sense with the look of the bike.

I will when I remember to bring the camera in. It's pretty crusty. I am going to just grease everything, put tires on it, and send it on it's way on CL. Will be a good college bike.
