I bought this bike back in October of '22, and it's been waiting for some attention. It was complete so despite the rust I knew in my heart I needed to get it so someone else wouldn't part it out. I figure it has survived this long being whole that I needed to ensure it stayed that way.

I decided to pull it out of storage today and tear into it a bit. The paint is shining up great and I plan to keep it original and just waxing it up. The seat is decent overall for a rider which is what I plan to do with this. What's amazing is every single bolt and cable came undone with ease so that was a plus and made disassembly go so much smoother.

The biggest issues I will have are the wheels, fenders, sprocket, handlebars, sissy bar, and seat post being that the Huffy chrome wasn't the highest quality. I'm honestly even considering just having them powercoated black if it'd be smarter cost wise. I wish I could find a parts bike, but doubt that's going to happen so I will see how this goes!

What a cool bike! This should be a great project. I'd love to find a '69 since I'm the same age, eventually. I'll be following your progress with interest!! :113: :cool2:
