Love everything about it :D your going to get tired of that bar position quick atleast you can change it quickly unlike my bar tape...

Very cool project. I have been seeing a few of these fat tire Varsity builds and like them. I am thinking about picking one up and building around a 700c 2 speed kickback coaster wheelset. It has to have cream tires, though.

I may have a line on a 1910s-1920s frame which would be built into something of similar form. The idea is to have an antique frame with classically styled, modern components to make a rider. The issue with that is cost and a Varsity would be a reasonable alternative on the cheap since its overall styling and geometry are not all that distant from early 20th century bikes.

I agree. I never really looked at a Varsity until I found this one. It was in pretty rough shape but just right for What I needed it for. I gave it a test rid last night and I really like the way it feels. I have never rode a bike with balloon tires so it was a cool experience.

I am still going to put a few "graphics" on it and am contemplating a head and tail light setup.

Compared to the Brit bikes with loose ballsets and the cottered crank the Varsity type with the easy cages balls, etc. is a snap to work on, even with a 3pc crank.
Yeah, its not a lugged frame, but they seem to last forever and the lines are classic straightbar triangle. Maybe we should have a Varsity 'build off'?

Working on the number plate.

Designed a number plate on the computer and printed it out and cut it for a test fit.

Let it cool then applied white Vinyl outline to it. Decided to mount on other side. Now waiting on rest of other vinyl to come in.
