My dad obtained a bunch of Stingray stuff today, and a '76 Schwinn Tornado too! :D The seller also included a crank, handlebars, seat/post, springer piece, fork, and a goose neck.

February 1971 female Stingray frame and a 26" cantilever frame behind it (not exactly 100% sure if it's a Schwinn).

I just had to replicate Steve's "FRAME-O-RAMA" technique. As you can see, they still aren't lined up as perfect as his were.

From front to back: September 1968 Stingray, December 1969 Stingray, November 1981 Stingray.

Can anyone tell me what's going on near where the brake caliper would mount? I wonder. :? Edit > This is a September 1968.

I'm guessing this one is the 68. This is a 5 speed Stingray/Krate frame. The other 2 frames are coaster brake frames.

Yeah, you're correct. It is a 1968. Thanks for the info, that would be sweet if it was a Krate. There are little hints of the original blue color though. I should do some research and see what colors Schwinn made for that year.

Great finds. I have a NOS number plate for the Tornado currently on ebay.

That thing is sweet. I'll show my dad, thanks.

My '68 Lemon Peeler had a rear caliper/fender mount just like that. Not for sure if that was Krates only?

Thats normal for a Schwinn caliper brake mount. I've a '68 or '69 (can't remember which) 3-speed Stingray and a '61 Jag with the same mount.

Your frame is either a 3-speed or a 5-speed. I believe the 5-speeds had a longer rear triangle than the 3-speeds. The extra length provides more clearance for a larger front sprocket.
