1980 SCHWINN DELUXE CRUISER

Picked up this really nice 1980 Schwinn Deluxe Cruiser last night. The seller had scored it right as it was being pitched out in the trash at the home of a widow who had recently passed away. Apparently it had been in the attic for the past 30 plus years. He was smart enough to grab it and he cleaned it up a bit and rode it a little. Everything's original except for the tires and the chain.

I still need to break it down and give it a thorough cleaning and bearing overhaul, but it it's pretty clean as is.

It's not for sale and I don't want to trade it.

Nice , I've many of those over the years , drum brake 5spds , mostly blue or red , still waiting for that beautiful brown colored one

Yep...in the DFW area.

Step two: Remove reflectors.

Step three: Add banana seat and sissy bar.

Step four: Tire of it quickly and move on to another project.
