This is not exactly rat, but it does come in somewhere between a beach cruiser, BMX and klunker.
I also have a 1979 one that I'd like to use a 2 speed Bendix kickback hub on.

Ha! yes I meant to type 2 speed. I'm after the red band one I think. Is that the one geared for the 'gentleman' rather than 'lady' cyclist?
Also what's better, the Bendix kickback hubs or the Torpedo ones?

Man oh man...what a beauty. Love everything about this bike.

One day I'd like to own a 26" cruiser like this....loop tail frame and all.

Problem is, I'd have to get a second mortgage on my house.

I'll have to stick to making my own for now.

That thing rules. Until I got my Lagunas I was riding one of these.

What I'd really like to find is a Bassett star cruiser.

Oh yeah...those Bassetts are mighty sweet.

Kind of a combo of a Schwinn canti frame with a looptail.

Did you build your Laguna up from just a frame?

Some dude had a minty Laguna criuser on local CL for $150 obviously without a clue, I could kick myself for not even calling. I bet he got a clue when he got about 5000 phone calls though. Oh and nice bikes!

I crave an older Champion 26" Cruiser myself. The price of old BMX is unreal.... Well at least someday I may justify old school 26" BMX. Your bike is so sweet. Enjoy...

i like that clamper-dooner thingy for the coaster brake on the Laguna. beefy.

That thing is positively sick! I could see it being built up so many ways- the looptails are a really sweet aspect, and the bars were designed perfectly. Really cool bike!
