Our local museum decided to put a couple of bikes they had tucked away in the basement out on display. The Museum Director told me I had better come by and see what they had.
First was this boneshaker from Springfield Bicycle Manufacturing (located on neck, just below the handlebars). On the frame where it attaches to the neck is # 1727
I was particularly impressed with this full suspension bike that had a nameplate on the back reading:
Union Cycle Mfg Co.
Highlandville, Mass
Pat June 25, 1878
If anybody has more info one either of these, the Livingston Gateway Museum would appreciate it.
