I got a yellow band kickback hub in a pile of parts and I decided to rebuild it. I took it all apart cleaned it up and repacked the bearings but when I got it back together the cog just turns when you turn it forward it dosen't "engage" and turn the rest of the hub. Does anyone know what might be causing this.
Thanks,
Bryan

Okay, these are the things you need to check. Lots of possibilities.

1. Sprocket loose on driver
2. Low-speed retarder spring is worn out
3. Bearing surfaces on low-speed and high-speed drivers worn
4. Low-speed clutch or the hub shell is worn

Hope this helps. I have lots of parts for the red bands but don't have any spare parts for yellow/blue band hubs. Gary

I saw Black Sabbath in Feb. of '77 in St.Louis. They came out, played for 45 minutes and that was it. I was so mad :x they ripped me off I've boycotted them ever since!
