20" pre war ballooner

I saw this listed as a 50's Schwinn on my local craigslist.
Asking price is $40
Aren't 20" ballooners pretty rare? Especially pre war bikes?
Would this be worth picking up for a flip?
If it were a boys bike it would already be mine.

20 inch prewars dont come by too often. Id pick it up and maybe do a cool little clean up on it and find someone with a child thats into rats. Im sure someone here would love that baby.

At least CW did, until mid 50's, I think.

If the frame is Schwinn, it's got the wrong fork, chainguard, sprocket, and who knows what else.

Look at the way the upper and lower tubes meet the headtube. Not near smooth enough for Schwinn. Gary

It is a Cleveland Welding built bicycle and it is postwar, 40's to early 50's.
