Although mountain bikes have changed considerably since 2003, most "vintage" mtb sites set the cut off date at about 1998. That's when technology made huge shifts, suspension actually started working, frames shifted to aluminum, and rim brakes began to switch out for discs.
That's the general consensus, my opinion is that you have an incredible trail weapon. Everything I see on there is top notch, just not the latest/greatest industry hyped product. Both shocks are high quality rebuild-able units (I want the disc Bomber!), Xtr was the best shimano group.
