Yeah bars do seem silly, I assumed the short bars were for the wheelie kids but this one is pretty old.

Anyway, needs a bit of work before flipping. This has a coaster brake and no brake pads!?

There are a few modern bmx cruisers that break the mold (there is currently a 'big bar' movement in the bmx world. The youngins' think 10" bars are a new innovation, regardless of the fact that 'pro bars' from the 70s into the early 90s were usually 10" bars), but usually the 24s have shorter bars than the 26s, and the 26s have shorter bars than 29ers.
