2007 Electra Rat Rod

Picked up this Electra Rat Rod from the 2007 era I believe. It's not in the best of shape but it's almost all there. I had to take the fenders and wheels off to get it in the car. It had a white wall rear tire and a new flame tire up front. It came with another flane tire for the back and a new Nexus shifter. Here it is with the new rubber installed.

The chain guard is in good shape and still has the electra badge, though the headtube badge was bent and faded so I yank it off, to be replaced

So far I installed the shifter, rear tire, drilled some speed holes into the frame gussets and mounted a Coors Light bottle opener to the drop out. I also cleaned it up but it needs to be rubbed down with some rubbing compound to hopefully clean it up nicely. Next up is a new saddle and grips thinking about some tan leather ones and a headlight. Then I'll mod the fenders to my liking and practice my pinstripping.

Thanks, the cranks are annoying me, Never been a fan of one piecers, plus all my pedals are all 9/16". Here's what I put on my cruiser 1,they are a little long at 180's but they look better

Ok here's some updated pics, I know it's not a fully custom bike but I'm pretty stoked about it.

Here's the rear gusset, drilled out, the other side doesn't effect the lettering

Here you can see the newly added headlight and the chopped rear fenders, also some new grips

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm diggin it for sure. I laid down a few pinstrips last night, but I want to do more so when it's done I'll post up some pics. I'm heading out to the Behind Bars show this sunday with this bike so we'll see how it goes.

Not sure if I should use the front fender. What do you guys think?
