This is an automatic 3-speed. Power for the gear changer is supplied by a front hub generator. The wood fenders are custom made, with a 1930’s German fender ornament. The vintage headlight/horn and tail light are circa the 1960’s and fitted with LED bulbs. The pannier bags are converted from Swiss ammo carriers dating to the 1960’s. The seat is a replica antique leather saddle with tool bag. The chain guard panels and water bottle are covered with real wood veneer. The final touch is the pair of cork handgrips, which are shellacked. I've taken this on Tweed Rides in Philly and DC........... Felix C.

With flikr you just click on "share" then on the "grab the html/bbcode" button, click on "bbcode" and insert that code in your post, no need for extra {img} notes or anything...

Nice bike by the way...

Hey Peatbog- The tail light is a 1960's made in Hong Kong British Design. This photo shows it mounted on the fender, but it has since been moved to the rear rack. It would bounce up and down too much on the fender due to the weight of modern alkaline batteries. On both the headlight and tail light I replaced the D-cells with AA-cells in a battery holder to keep the weight down. Because the bulbs have been replaced with LED bulbs they are even brighter and have long battery life.
