Saw them give one of these away on the Schwinn Instagram feed....looks pretty awesome.

Comes with 24" wheels so they are running some cool fat looking 24" tires.

Looks like they have an MSRP of $470. Click here to see the Schwinn page.

I can't tell from my phone, is it like a "straight bar", or the 62? Typhoon where the rear stays extend foward to the head tube? And can that panel be easily removed?

Cool, looks like a recycle of the Aerosport, but with less cooler black tires instead of these BOMB red bricks

It appears that they did make some geometry change to the frame. Pay attention to how the second set of tubes transitions behind the seat tube. It also looks like the tank area is larger. Makes me wonder if this new model is a larger bike.

I like how the seatstays continue up to form the mid tubes just like the old Typhoon.
If the paneled area is like my old SS Sport, then it is open beneath and the perfect place for wasp nests.

Agreed, the frame geometry looks to be more 'relaxed' and modern vs. the Aerosport that looks like a Typhoon frame with 'tank' panels welded on. I just wish they would have brought back those tires! They are a guilty obsession of mine, my 'precious'......

I agree that the geometry is different; to my eye, the new bike actually looks smaller, in terms of seat tube length, but i'll bet the front end is just as high and the "reach" numbers are probably similar. Looks to me like they were going for more standover. In my opinion, the Aerosport has nicer lines, more similar to the 60's era twinbar frames.
