I took a short system check ride on my fake Indian Westfield today. The bike is a 1936 Westfield, which built Indian until 1928 but the 1936 Indian would have been made in Germany. So, there is literally nothing real Indian on the bike but I needed something to do with the frame only eBay purchase. The bike has 70 mm SA front drum brake and 90 mm 3 speed SA rear hub. I installed a cheap shifter (don't do this) and am waiting on an SA replacement, so my ride was single speed today. The bike is powered by a 750W Tongshen mid drive motor with torque sensor pedal assist and throttle. I didn't have the pedal assist working, so I used a combination of pedaling and the throttle up steep hills. Everything worked fine other than I had a tire issue, so tomorrow I'll take it on a long ride with the torque sensor working.
